Question - How do I send my order and payment?
Answer - Put your shirts into a box and bring the box to the US Post Office or UPS. Both are reliable and relatively inexpensive. Include a check or credit card information with the shirts.

Question - Can I use a sweatshirt or jacket as a panel instead of a t-shirt?
Answer - Yes. We can use both sweatshirts and jackets.

Question - What material is the batting?
Answer - The batting (the stuffing in the middle of the quilt) is made of whipped polyester and is both warm and light weight.

Question - Can I use both the front and back of a shirt?
Answer - Yes. You can use the front, the back or both as panels in a quilt.

Question - How do I send my order and payment?
Answer - Put your shirts into a box and bring the box to the US Post Office or UPS. Both are reliable and relatively inexpensive. Include a check or credit card information with the shirts.

Question - Can I arrange the shirts?
Answer - You can arrange all the shirts by making a chart and pinning numbers to your shirts. You can also pick a few shirts for special positioning, such as: "place my 1986 marathon shirt in the middle." Most people leave the layout to us, but you can participate as much as you like.

Question - What material are the borders and back?
Answer - The borders and back are made from a cotton/poly blend that is both shrink and run resistant.

Question - Are the quilts "quilted"?
Answer - The face of the quilt (your shirts and the borders) is attached to the batting along all the border seams with machine stitching. The three layers are then tacked at the corners of each shirt.

Question - How big are the panels?
Answer - Our regular panels are finished to 12" x 12". They are cut bigger than that to allow for the sewing. However, some collections of shirts have very big logos. When that is the case we use oversized panels that are finished to 14" x 14".

Question - How long does it take from start to finish?
Answer - We ship quilts back to you in 4-6 weeks. Add the shipping time to get the shirts to us and the shipping time to get the quilt back to you.

Question - Is Rosscommon Quilts in Boston or in Dorchester?
Answer - Dorchester is a neighborhood of Boston.

Question - Do you have gift certificates?
Answer - Yes and you can order one by contacting us via phone, mail or EMail!

Question - Do the quilts have shirts on the back and front?
Answer - No. The back of the quilt is made from a solid color fabric. The expense of putting shirts on both the back and front is more than the cost of two quilts.

Question - How should I choose border and back colors?
Answer - Choose the colors from the list on the order blank. Most people ask us to choose because it is easier for us to decide once the shirts are cut and laid out. It is a good idea to say "the quilt is for a young man" or "I hate pink", etc.

Question - Should I wash the shirts before sending them?
Answer - Yes! Shirts that have been washed are less likely to run or shrink when you wash the finished quilt.

Question - How do I wash my quilt?
Answer - The quilts are machine stitched and the fabrics are shrink and run resistant so you can machine wash and machine dry your quilt. However, most quilts are too big. Also, be aware that your t-shirts may run or shrink.
